How This Publication Works

Gramoren Notebook operates under the following editorial principles: articles on men's wellness habits are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

The Editorial Position

Gramoren Notebook is an independent editorial publication covering everyday wellness habits, natural lifestyle practices, and evidence-informed routines for active men in Malaysia. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

The editorial approach prioritises documented observation over prescriptive guidance. Writers observe patterns — in eating, movement, sleep, and daily routine — document what they find, and reference published wellness and nutritional research where relevant. Readers are not told what to do. They are given an informed perspective and trusted to draw their own conclusions.

This methodology page describes, in practical terms, how articles are researched, written, reviewed, and corrected. It is updated whenever editorial practices change in a meaningful way.

02 — The Process

From Observation to Publication

01

Topic Identification

Topics are identified through direct observation of everyday habits among active men in the Malaysian context, gaps in existing English-language wellness coverage of the Malaysian male experience, and reader correspondence. No topic is selected based on commercial considerations. The editorial team makes all topic decisions independently.

02

Research and Observation

Writers conduct primary observation — documenting real patterns in daily life — alongside a review of published wellness and nutritional research relevant to the subject. Content published by Gramoren Notebook is selected based on published wellness and nutritional research, and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. Primary observation and published research are clearly distinguished within each article.

03

Source Verification

Where published research is cited, the source is verified before inclusion. The editorial team distinguishes between peer-reviewed nutritional and wellness literature, broader published research, and anecdotal or observational sources. Each type of source is treated with an appropriate level of editorial caution. The publication does not attribute outcomes to sources that do not support such conclusions.

04

Second-Editor Review

Every article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. The reviewing editor checks for factual accuracy, editorial tone consistency, stop-word compliance (the publication maintains a strict list of terms that are not used — specifically any language that could be read as a wellness claim), and source verification. No article is published without passing this review stage.

05

Publication and Disclosure

Published articles carry the writer's name, publication date, and a reading-time estimate. Writers disclose any commercial relationships at the foot of each article. To date, no commercial relationships have influenced editorial content at Gramoren Notebook. This record is maintained as a matter of transparency.

06

Corrections

Factual errors, when identified — by the editorial team or by readers — are corrected promptly. The correction is noted within the article with the date it was made. The original publication date is preserved. Corrections submitted by readers are reviewed with the same rigour as any other factual claim: the correcting reader is asked to provide a source. The editorial team makes the final determination on whether a correction is warranted.

03 — Source Standards

How We Classify Sources

Tier A

Peer-Reviewed Research

Published nutritional and wellness research from peer-reviewed journals. Cited with publication name and date. Findings are reported accurately and not overstated. The editorial team does not attribute broad conclusions to individual studies.

Tier B

Published Wellness Literature

Established wellness and nutritional writing from recognised independent sources. Cited as secondary literature. Distinguished clearly from Tier A sources within articles. Used for context, not for evidence claims.

Tier C

Editorial Observation

Direct observational notes by the writing team, presented explicitly as personal observation. Not attributed to any external source. Clearly framed as the writer's documented perspective rather than as research findings.

04 — Boundaries

Editorial Limits We Observe

No outcome claims. Gramoren Notebook does not state or imply that any habit, food, or practice will produce a specific result. The language of wellness outcomes — "boosts", "reverses", "eliminates" — is not used in editorial content, regardless of the source being cited.

No product endorsement. The publication does not receive payment for product mentions. No product is recommended in editorial content. Writers are required to disclose any commercial relationship with a brand before writing about any topic where that relationship could influence the perspective.

No professional consultation substitution. Articles published on Gramoren Notebook are editorial in nature. They do not replace consultation with a qualified health professional. Readers with specific health concerns are encouraged to speak with a qualified professional before making changes to their daily habits or routines.

No aggregated or synthetic content. Every article is original. No content is sourced from other publications, aggregated from multiple sources, or generated through automated means. All writers are identified and accountable for their content.
